We haven't seen much from Jamie Foxx lately,  but this week he returns to the big screen in Baran bo Odar’s new thriller Sleepless.

Watch out for Riz Ahmed. This rising star is about to blast into the universe in  Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, a movie that will most likely make him a house hold name. 

Casey Affleck stars alongside Michelle Williams, Kyle Chandler and breakout star Lucas Hedges (named one of Variety's 2016 "10 Actors to Watch") in Manchester by the Sea, a wrenching drama that's been creating Oscar buzz since its debut at Sundance 2016.  Set against the grey skies of winter, the film is written and directed by American Kenneth Lonergan who, just as he did in his award-winning You Can Count on Me, shows a knack for depicting the messiness of real life. 

Isabelle Huppert is mesmerizing in Elle, a psychological thriller by Dutch director Paul Verhoeven (Basic Instinct) who lives up to his reputation for creating powerful, perverse fare about women who are dangerous or in danger.  The film is France’s 2017 Oscar submission for the foreign-language category.

The Edge of Seventeen is  a new coming-of-age movie in the vein of Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club. Everyone knows that growing up is hard, and life is no easier for high school junior Nadine, who is already at peak awkwardness when her all-star older brother Darian starts dating her best friend Krista. All at once, Nadine feels more alone than ever, until the unexpected friendship of a thoughtful boy gives her a glimmer of hope that things just might not be so terrible after all.

This holiday season, enter a colorful, wondrous world populated by hilariously unforgettable characters and discover the story of the overly optimistic Trolls, with a constant song on their lips, and the comedicly pessimistic Bergens, who are only happy when they have trolls in their stomach. 

The critically acclaimed film MOONLIGHT had a massive opening this weekend with the biggest per-theatre-average in the US of 2016. The film opens in Canada this weekend beginning in Toronto and expanding across the country next month.

Tom Cruise is back in action mode in, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back!

Reprising his role, ( from the best selling series written by Lee Child), Cruise plays Investigator Jack Reacher who springs into action after the arrest of Susan Turner (Cobie Smulders), an Army major accused of treason. Suspecting foul play, Jack embarks on a mission to prove that the head of his old unit is innocent. After crossing paths with the law, Reacher must now go on the lam to uncover the truth behind a major government conspiracy that involves the death of U.S. soldiers. 

American Pastoral is a new drama directed by and starring Ewan McGregor, (making his directorial debut), and written by John Romano, based on the 1997 Pulitzer Prize winning novel of the same name by Philip Roth.

Madea is back — in “Boo! A Madea Halloween.” Media Mogul Tyler Perry is back as his alter ego and this time we've got Halloween to contend with! 

Set against the antebellum South, The Birth of a Nation follows Nat Turner, a literate slave and preacher, whose financially strained owner, Samuel Turner, accepts an offer to use Nat’s preaching to subdue unruly slaves. As he witnesses countless atrocities - against himself and his fellow slaves - Nat orchestrates an uprising in the hopes of leading his people to freedom.
